Family Resource Center
The Family Resource Center (FRC) provides emergency assistance, services and referrals for families and individuals in need in this community. Social Workers are available to meet with clients and to provide services including: emergency food assistance, case management, referrals, assessments, and scholarships. The FRC also hosts educational courses including Parenting, Nutrition and ESL.

NEW FOOD DISTRIBUTION SCHEDULE STARTING 1/1/15
Clients can access one box of food per month on the 2nd & 4th Thursday (8:30am-12noon) OR Friday (1-4pm) with updated files.
Assistance is given to those with a proven financial need who live within the following service zip code areas:
The following documents are required for all members living in the residence (including roommates and non-family members):
· Identification for all members of the household
· Photo ID required for all adults
· Shot records or birth certificates will serve as proof for children
· Current proof of income for all members of the household (2 consecutive pay stubs, TANF/Calworks Notice of Action, child support statement, Social Security benefits statement, educational class schedule verification/Financial Aid statement, unemployment benefits statement, etc.)
· Address verification (a recent utility bill)
Individuals, families, and seniors residing within the Kroc Center’s Service Area* that find themselves in emergency situations may request assistance in the form of:
· Food Boxes
· Clothing Vouchers and Children’s Pajamas
· Baby Items
· Household Items
· Personal Hygiene Items
· Domestic Phone Cards

Effective September 1st, 2011, all Family Resource Center (FRC) services are provided through supportive and strengths-based case management. Applicants for services will meet with FRC Associates for a comprehensive assessment to build upon strengths and assets and assist with meeting identified areas of need.

Membership and Program Scholarships:
The Kroc Center’s Family Resource Center (FRC) provides scholarships to Day Camp and other programs for families needing financial assistance who meet our zip code and income eligibility requirements. Funding is limited. Please visit www.kroccenter.org/family-services or call 619.269.1430 for a complete listing of services and to see if you qualify (documentation required). Please email email@example.com for more information. Scholarship funding is from generous donations from our Heroes Campaign and private donors. The Scholarships Program provides partial assistance for memberships and programs such as camp, aquatics, sports, dance, and music.
Summer Camp applications are available starting 3/9/15. Call FRC for submission deadlines. Please submit Class, Program and Membership Scholarship Applications a minimum of 4 weeks before the program starts. Your client file must be updated. Scholarships are still available for our memberships and programs such as basketball, hockey, soccer, karate, dance, and music.
